I was passing my blind neighbor's house and saw this - someone in the family must have painted it on the car now belonging to the new Mr. and Mrs. Stefanich, married on May 1. Gerry Stefanich and bride Debra Simpson enjoyed a whirlwind courtship... you might say it was love at first "sight," then they tied the knot at Bethany Baptist Church in Dollar Bay. Gerry was a teacher at the E.B. Holman school in Stanton Township for years before he retired. Everywhere he goes he is recognized as a favored teacher by students now grown up - obviously a popular person while there. His wife, Debra, worked at then Suomi College and later, on the floor at Walmart, where she stood out as an exceptionally helpful sales clerk, recognized though not known by name.

Guess this is 'family day' on the Pasty Cam, as we congratulate the newlyweds above, and welcome a newborn - our second granddaughter: Kit Ashlyn Howard, 6 lb 13 oz, 19 inches, born yesterday afternoon in Logan, UT, where Edie and I are spending a few days.

Congratulations, Charlie and Edie. It looks like you were a little more composed this time, as you seem to have the correct weight and size. When Kira was born, I remember you described her as 14ft, 120lbs (or something like that). It looks like your becoming an old pro at this :)

Congratulations to ALL! Just look at the beautiful Kit and all that hair! Ours were all bald as they were blonde and very easy to pick out in the nursery! ENJOY! They grow up too fast.

Congratulations Charlie, and family! It seems like just yesterday when my 15 year old daughter was lying in one of those bassinettes. Enjoy every moment, every day. Don't blink.

Greta, I can do you one better....it reminds me of our second-born 50 years ago (6/9/60). Where did all that time go...and you're right...don't BLINK! I still remember my first, 3/6/55, nothing like a newborn to give one hope! Congrats to your whole family, Charlie and Edie! God bless!

About the day/time in small letters with the "What's UP" link after the pictures: that is the timestamp of the latest posting, not the date it was published. In this case, the Tuesday What'sUP had a note posted on the 12th (Wednesday).

Thanks for all the good wishes sent our way. Bryan brought Becky and Kit home from the hospital Tuesday evening, little more than 24 hours after Kit was born. She already seems right at home.
