Starting the week with a tie

When we were students at NMC in Marquette the beach was wider than today. And, you could wade/walk about halfway to the first rock---then a short swim to get there. The second rock was a short swim from the first. Cold water, though. Students would go to the beach to catch some "rays" late in May and when the wind shifted off the lake it was as if someone opened a giant refrigerator door. Everyone left the beach pronto.

What years? The NMC should have been a give away. It was the early 1960s---

Some really nice pictures again this morning. My hubby would LOVE To be a little ways up from the mouth of the Montreal to fish. That is a great picture. And I love Robert's picture too.
