The daffodils in our flower garden are sprouting, but no where near flowering like these beauties that Taana Kalliainen found. I don't know about you, but it sure brightens my day to see such vivid yellow blooms like these. It's not unusual to have a few crocuses this time of year, but if I'm not mistaken, this is pretty early for daffodils and the like. This spring, instead of April showers bringing May flowers, we've had March showers bring April flowers. Can't say that I mind, though.

This is the final weekend we all need to vote each day for Copper Country Humane Society in The Shelter Challenge. Overnight CCHS extended its first place lead, and you can be sure the folks in Iowa will be enlisting all of their friends to take it back. Every vote counts, to finish this race in first place!

Oh how wonderful....Spring truly has SPRUNG!!! LOVE the daffodils! Mine are no where near this stage either! They look like green stems with a yellow tip. :D But they are coming!

My daffodils came up and are looking awesome! Every bulb came up, which is unusual, as usually some little critters manage to run away with a few. I've been voting everyday. Clap, clap to all those who have!

Hi all. Been a long time since I've posted but I take a peek everyday. I've been voting along with all of you for the eventual CCHS win.

To help things along I've enlisted the help of the online community at Fark.com. Fark is a primarily a news site but the online community there is always ready to lend a hand for causes like this.

Those daffodils are stunning! I've not been a big flower person, but I've always loved the bulb flowers and lilacs. Perhaps because it means summer is coming, as they usually bloomed mid to late May.

I wonder, though - if April showers are supposed to bring May flowers, what do April flowers bring? It sure is early.
