Richard Barclay was recently on the shores of Superior and despite the warmer temperatures we've been having, there have been just as many cooler days that came along with the winds whipping up the Big Lake just a little. That keeps the ice on the edges of the shore around a bit longer, when the cold Lake water is splashing up and around it all. I'm sure some of the ice has melted away in the past few days, but I checked the Eagle Harbor Cam to get an up to the minute view of the rocky Lake Superior shores and there was still a bit of ice on those rocks, too. I'm thinking... "not for long," though!

Even when it's warm...it's still cold!

A friend of mine and I used to have a contest on who would "go under" first, each year in Lady Superior....OMG...you couldn't pay me to do that anymore! LOL
