It's hard to believe that we're already done with three months of the year 2010. Time flies by so quickly and that's why we have the tradition here at Pasty Central to set aside the last day of the month remembering those of our friends and families that have passed on. Today we remember...

Dorothy Edgar
Tom Ellis
Ernest Frisk
Kimberly Linczeski
Helen S. (Harju) Miller
Those who've given their all for their country

...and any others you wish to add to the list. A big thank you to Philip Odum for providing a beautiful, peaceful sunset, as our thoughts turn to those we honor this month.

Very Beautiful picture.

"For what is it to die,
But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind?"
~Kahlil Gibran

Blessings to all.

Remembering Uncle Ev who went Home to be with his Lord on Sunday. You are loved by so many ~ your wife of 63 years, your seven children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nephews & nieces ~ all who hold you in fond memory and look forward to that grand reunion on the other side. We honor you for your service to America in WWII and Korea. Rest well, Uncle Ev, you have run the race well.

One of our town's treasures passed last week too young, David Hefty. He touched so many lives thru our school, scouts, church, and always with a sassy grin. His visitation will be held at the school gym for all to honor him! A New Glarus boy who graced our small Il. town. So long Dave...

By Richard J. (Dick_fl) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - 08:17 am:

In paradisum deducant te Angeli; in tuo adventu suscipiant te martyres, et perducant te in civitatem sanctam Ierusalem. Chorus angelorum te suscipiat, et cum Lazaro quondam paupere æternam habeas requiem.

Last week we did the Patriot Detail for Army Sgt. Robert M Rieckhoff here in iraq. It is a ceremony in which his remains are placed aboard a C-130 to be flown back to the states for final burial. A very moving, but painful experience. And to think I have a ill(mentally) Uncle, and Cousin in Calument who think I am deployed here for the money. How disgusting.......

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - 06:13 pm:

Dan... I wouldn't be too hard on them. Except for the vets, there are few, if any, here in the states who can really understand what it is like over there. It's one of those things that you have to experience first-hand. But know this, you guys and gals are always thought of and appreciated. God's speed.

By Karen D Powers (Kareninoshkosh) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - 07:11 pm:

In loving memory of Beverly Eaton and Maud Pruner who both died in March, 2007. In loving memory of Grace Camille Brown who died far too young in 1997. She would have been 56 years old this month. And remembering with love the three guys who shared St. Patrick's birthdays: Walter Saurman, Bill "The Senator" Hodge (2008), and Ed "E.T." Williams (2003). May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

By Marylyn Hoffman (Marylyn) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - 07:17 pm:

In Loving Memory of my dear Husband Bob Easker, who would have been 83 years young on the 10th. I still miss you so much.

By Theresa R. Brunk (Trb0013) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - 08:02 pm:

Special "In Loving memory to Michael Hurlbutt of Brandon Florida" who was cut down at 41 last Thursday while helping someone move when her ex boyfriend came by and shot Michael several times, then calmly called police and said I just killed someone. He was laid to rest today... There was never a nicer guy. He died helping another, but that was who he was.

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Sunday, April 4, 2010 - 08:20 pm:

Remembering Barry Hahaj who passed on March 25. You will be missed by "the girls and their husbands".
