We begin another work week here at the Pasty Cam, with a couple calming scenes from Copper Harbor. Knowing how hard it is to get going on a Monday, I figured these shots from Philip Odum and Marsha Bertoldi, respectively, would help us all get back in the groove for the rest of this week. Philip has captured the sun's rays illuminating a peaceful Lake Fanny Hooe, covered in snow and ice. While Marsha takes us along the cross country ski trail, that skirts around the lake, with the sun casting shadows along the way.
OK now, take a deep breath and get the week started... before you know it, Friday will be here once again.

I know the end of the month is for remembering loved ones gone but, I have to say this. A very special person we know passed away on Valentines Day. If there is such a thing as a 'good time' to pass away- Valentines Day was a good time for her because she was a real sweetheart and when I close my eyes I will always see her smile and hear her laugh. She will be missed.

Did you get to see the opening of the Winter Games and KD Lang sing Leonard Cohen's HALLELUJAH? (Go to You Tube and type in KD Lang Hallelujah...it's not the Olympic's version, but it is the song....and WOW...it'll knock your socks off...can't post the link...I tried.)
Wow! You better have a tissue ready when you listen to k.d. lang. Holy Wah...her voice is soooo beautiful.

Mary, once again, a very nice selection of pics! Wish I was in CH right now convincing Marty we might have a hard time 4x4ing to High Rock Bay in the truck this time of year! lol
I remember Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen from the 70's with that raspy voice, then Jennifer Warnes did a tribute - Famous Blue Raincoat in '91, "Joan of Arc" featured Cohen. "Bird on a wire" was the popular song. Jennifer, K.D.Lang & Bonnie Raitt backed Roy Orbison's 'Black & white nights' concert.
