How far is it from Lake Linden to Betsy by way of Gay?

By Roger Somero (Rsomero) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 05:24 am:

Good morning from San Jose, 6 miles.

By Susan Caryl (Gilbsulmum) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 05:30 am:

18 miles? Assuming sign is in Gay.
First Post
Indeed it is

By Pat & Glenda (Gormfrog) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 05:42 am:

Philosophical arguments, moralizing, aesthetics, political legislation, and abstract philosophies are notoriously incapable of compelling human behavior on GROUNDHOG DAY...Just prepare the best that you can.

By Roger Somero (Rsomero) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 05:44 am:

Oops, 18 miles-not a math major!
Nice try
The trick is "by way of Gay", which is the shortest anyway.

By Donna (Donna) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 07:04 am:

And it's just a pretty ride, and you never know what kind of wild critter will grace your presence. I've seen bear, deer, moose, fox, etc on that ride!

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 08:57 am:

Wonderful, especially the water spout pic.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 09:30 am:

I agree, Thomas! And I love that drive too, Donna! It's not quite as nice as the drive from Ahmeek (via the 5 mile point road) to Copper Harbor, but it's still beautiful!

Good morning! Hope you all have a great day today!

What is this, rhyme time this morning?? ;-)

2008 looks more like an ice volcano to me; even has the classic shape...

Capt. Paul: Like one would say, "I'm a poet + don't know it."

Todays pics have to be my favorite of all. That a real dog "plowing" thru the one? Each is very special. The bridge is the very best view I've ever seen. That Jon does some fantastic work! Related to you Charlie? Try to keep warm everyone.

Kay -

Jon is the guy who snapped almost all of the daily shots for the first two years of the Pasty Cam (1998-99). He's my son.

And yes... that is a real dog in 2003 plowing through the snow with her nose. A beagle named Lily.

Greetings and Well Come!
We were in Copper Harbor and Ahmeek last August for Violet Miller's memorial service. Very hard to leave Copper Harbor. that drive from Ahmeek to Copper Harbor tis wonderous fair!
BTW: We just added another Copper Harbor / Yooper item to our Zazzle.com Yooper collection. http://www.zazzle.com/copper_harbor_yooper_hat-148590875214704095

Well Come = "May all things WELL and good COME to you and yours!"

Snowed in here in Tennessee. Just like the old day's the old timers say. Looks like fresh snow to me.

By Yooperguide (Huntandfish) on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 04:59 pm:

Only 156" of snow here. Just a light dusting. :)
