My friend Peggy Germain lost her uncle on December 7, 1941. I hope everyone gets to see the documentary on public television. Everyone in my fatherís generation remembers what he or she was doing when the announcement was made about the bombing of Pearl Harbor; my generation remembers the day that John F. Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas.

Looking for more Upper Peninsula non-profits. If you know any to add to the list, let me know... trying to build a list for people to donate to this Holiday season.

Neat photo Barb. Brrrrrrrrrrr looking at those ships photos. All I can think of is how cold that lake must be! OMG... Such a contrast to this mornings photos from neice with her little dogs on the beach now staying on South Parde Island! I'm torn between which of the two I'd rather be visiting :)

Been staying tuned to our local weather reports, sounds like my area in Iowa will look a bit like the U.P. before thursday a.m. Tues.p.m - thurs. a.m. blizzard warning expecting 10-12 in. of snow and winds 50-55 m.p.h. Perhaps a day off from work wednesday for me. :)
