Good Morning from Wells

Evidently not such a good morning for ye olde pasty.com this morning (yet)! Snowed in?

Eagle River, along with the rest of the Keweenaw, has been "hammered" with Lake Effect Snow since Thursday. We've had 21 inch's, but I bet they are closer to 36 in some places. Forcaster John Dee is still predicting more LES.

I'm sure Charlie and crew are up to their knees in powder just trying to keep the system up and running.

Sounds like you guys up north from Painesdale got hit harder then we did for a change! Our snow total Fri-Sat-Sun is 17 inches. Snowmobiles busy on the trail.

So many pictures in today's Decade Review look exactly as it does this weekend here in the Copper Country. We did manage to get the update on before midnight, keeping our perfect record of not missing a single day since February 28, 1998. But it was close.

Here in Eagle River we estimate around 26-28 inches of new snow has fallen since it started on Friday. This is only one thing that slowed us down in getting the Pasty Cam published Sunday (which I see now is *yesterday*). Thanks to all who found there way to this page and posted notes, even before we had the slideshow. We are looking at updating the format of this daily feature sometime in the New Year (perhaps on our 12th anniversary), with means of uploading pictures and news of each new day. That way if some of us here in pasty-land are snowed under, the Pasty Cam can start without us. Your comments and suggestions for a new format are welcome.
