Without the snow and the rays of the setting sun, this first photo from Joyce Tormala would just be an ordinary shot of some leafless trees in the U.P. woods. But with the pink reflection of the sun going down, against the white, snowy, covering all over the trees, that makes it a WOW shot and something extraordinary. Joyce has another out of the ordinary shot for us, that also has some pink hues in it. Her "Dormant" Flamingo shot really gave me a chuckle and I kept finding myself going back to it for another look. I'm not exactly sure why, but I'm guessing it's something to do with not having much color (except white) around the Keweenaw lately.

First photo in up is really beautiful..would be certainly very nice walking to inside this landscape!! I start now just to out here in home place..

We have snow pictures with our flamingos too. They're so funny!

I love flamingos...espically cheap, plastic gawdy pink ones. This inspite of what my friends and neighborrs think. I mourn the loss of those Wal Mart spring harbingers of spring! :O>)Now aren't they just lovely in the UP snow!

I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet, but......
