Christmas morning dawns bright, with our homes colorfully decorated and the children excited and smiling. Patti Gerbig shares with us, two photos that depict that scene quite well; the fireplace glowing, tree lit up and stockings hung with care. As for the smiling faces, Patti's daughter Rachel and her friend, Annelise are the young women shining their smiles and some Christmas lights, too. Looks like they took the decorating idea to an extreme and decided to try a set of lights on themselves this year. I'm sure they'll be laughing about this picture for many years to come, remembering the simple fun they created. That's what it's all about, folks... making memories.
From our family here at Pasty Central, to yours... We wish you a very Merry Christmas, filled with many happy memories.

O's quote of the day:
“What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.” — Agnes M. Pharo

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!Big Bertha arrived early Thursday morning. Right now the wind is screaming across the "Big Pond" and the waves are slamming the entrance pretty good. On top of the hill in Duluth they are reporting 19 inches of snow. We have had rain as well. Crazy weather, and a Christmas to remember. Merry Christmas all!!!!!

Frohe Weihnachten from Frankfurt, Germany!!!
It's just a bit cloudy here but dry, so Dr. Nat and I went for a long (~ 8 mi) walk all through the forests and townhouses on the northwest side of Frankfurt earlier. We went to a service last night that featured the music of Handel's Messiah performed by an orchestra in addition to the normal Christmas mass. All this was set in a cathedral built in 1352 AD so it was quite a joyful evening.....

Oh, Capt. Paul and Dr. Nat, what a glorious place to spend Christmas and to have the added treat of enjoying Handel's Messiah in that old cathedral! I can almost hear the Hallelujah Chorus! Merry Christmas to everyone and as per "Tiny Tim", 'God bless us, everyone!':)

Couple inches of slush in the driveway, I shoveled the sidewalk earlier and it's freezing. Traffic is much slower tonight than it's been all day. But, we can't let the weather decide if it's a good day or not. Was 40° this afternoon, with the rain and sleet. Anyhow, MERRY CHRISTMAS! to all our pastycammers and the Pasty.net crew.
