While perusing the Guest Gallery Photo Albums, I came across the two photos shown here today, from Rob Wetton and Doug Smith, respectively. With the snow piled up on the trees and branches, it makes everything look fresh and new again. I haven't heard the official totals of what fell over the last couple days, but I do know there's plenty of it. With that said, I'm wondering though, if it was completely necessary for Mother Nature to pile it on us here in the Keweenaw like it did? :->

The winter season sure has it's beauty with fresh snow cover. The white wash season.

Ah, when I was younger, I loved the snow. But now as I am older, I have to admit that I sure enjoyed getting up this morning and going to work in cold weather and no snow. Have a great day my pasty friends!

Lovely photos, thank you. One can feel the "peace" looking at them!

If I weren't longing for home before, I sure am now after seeing these pictures. The last one looks like my back yard.

Those are both gorgeous photos, pretty enough to be on Christmas cards! Thank you, Rob Wetton, Doug Smith, and Mary! We have some fresh snow here, too, but only a fraction of what Charlie was talking about. Tomorrow night and Wednesday sound like they could be another story, since they are talking about 6 to 10 inches for us, which is still less than half what Charlie was talking about, but this is in the middle of the LP. :-)

Wow! Great photos. What with all the snow, isn't it time for the snow snakes to start being active? I have many pictures of snow snakes that I ran across last year when visiting the UP!!

"Jimn", I agree that we should remember Pearl Harbor, especially with the way things are going these days. I was 6yrs old but I do remember the seriousness of the event.

Big storm taking aim on the Midwest for late
tomorrow and Wednesday. I must say there
is something exciting about a appoaching storm
and monitoring it. People do need to learn not
to drive in it however. Stay home and enjoy
natures fury. Plan accordingly and if you have
to drive a distance to work be careful and slow down.
