As we celebrate another Thanksgiving holiday, it's a good time to sit back and look at everything you have to be thankful for in your life. Your list doesn't have to be filled with all big things, it can contain many small pleasures in life, too. One of the things I am thankful for, is that I get to choose such beautiful, scenic photos of the Upper Peninsula each day to share with all of you. Of course without the generosity of the talented photographers like Frederic W. Koski, who supplied the three shots today, none of this would be possible. So I'm sending out a great big thank you, to all of you that have contributed photos for our possible use each day.

Frederic sure snapped us some beauties starting with the star trails photo. There are a couple of interesting things to note in this photo. Looking closely, you can see several of the star trails are a bit brighter than the others....those are the stars that form the Big Dipper. Then there's one continuous line across the sky. Frederic says that is a satellite trail and he adds that these trails in the nighttime sky, were captured using a 13 minute exposure time. Interesting, indeed. The other two scenes show off the beauty of sunless skies also, looking out over Lake Superior with the sky full of clouds and the waves rolling in. And the last photo, again with a cloud filled sky, but calm waters as we get a glimpse of the moon rising up into the darkened skies.

Happy Thanksgiving to Pasty Cammies everywhere,
from the entire Pasty Central family.

Hey, what happened to my 6:28 am post from yesterday's post? Isn't that the trick to get an early bird without a question? Oh, well. Happy Turkey day all! Celebrate and give thanks for your friends, your family and your freedom and our troops, where ever they are. My niece, who has served in Iraq three times, is now stationed in South Carolina. Thank you Jeri!

Cindy, your post was on yesterday's What'sUP, and still is. The no-questions-asked Early Bird is only available if the Pasty Cam isn't on by 8am. Another Cindy captured today's Bird
oven

Happy Thanksgiving from Missouri. I would like to be in Michigan with my mom and brothers and sisters but, I'm THANKFUL I'm here with my son and daughter, they are blessings to their Mother. I'm THANKFUL my mom did not die after her nurse accidently overdosed her. I'm THANKFUL that I live in America, I'm THANKFUL I'm warm and will have a nice dinner this afternoon, I'm THANKFUL I have my health, a home, a car and a job. I'm THANKFUL the sun is shining. I'm THANKFUL for this sight that brings the flavors of the UP to my computer. The pictures today are noteworthy. I have so much to be thankful for there is not enough room. God is good. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
