Good Morning! Wow, I was rudely awakened this morning by a thunderstorm's rockin' 'n rolling, with lightning so close that it literally rattled our upstairs windows. It was raining cats & dogs, weather that was not even fit for ducks. It figures that it is Friday, the first night of the high school playoff games. Unless there is lightning/thunder in the area, though, the game will be played, but the band won't march in the rain, to protect their instruments and uniforms. Last week when it rained, the wet football interfered with some of the plays, but probably did not influence the outcome of the game. Congratulations to those teams who made the playoffs, including our local team.

I have seen a fair amount on Pasty about Lake Linden, but nothing about Calumet's football team, who also made the playoffs. I guess there aren't any Calumet football supporters out there in Pastyland?

Nice try Steve, but as promised some time ago, if What'sUP isn't UP by 8am, the Early Bird is fair game, with the risk that your note will disappear in the update. Marianne somehow survived.

Steve, the deal is, that if Charlie does not have the pictures up, the first one to post post after 8:00 gets the Early Bird, no question to ask. Charlie started that maybe a month ago? He announced it when he did it.

Way to go, Marianne! I've done that also.

Morning all! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday. The kids are trick or treating around the stores in town from 3 to 5 today. Keeps them safe and all of the businesses participate. We take shifts at the bank. Should be a fun day.

Now the real question??? How do you get to the page to post a note??

Marianne, A team seems to get more attention when the go undefeated like LL but Calumet looks awful good at 8-1. They get Charlevoix who is 6-3

That's one of those new-fangled cars with the trunk in the front.

While visiting someone in Kentucy, I got to see a car that was smashed by a falling boulder. The front of the car was under the boulder and, of course, the back end was sticking out. The boulder landed on the hood of the car right behind the steering wheel. I got to read a newspaper article that said the lady left her purse on the front seat with a diamond ring in it. I bet she felt bad.

Calumet Copper Kings beat the Charlevoix Rayders 54 to 13. Good game Kings!!!
