That's right, if you go for the 'late daily picture' Early Bird too soon, you run the risk of getting bumped off during the update, which apparently happened this morning.

Great pictures this morning!! Especially the one of the road to Rockland. Grandpa Norm from Little Betsy lived in Rockland for a little while when he was just a kiddo. Have a wonderful fall day everyone.

There are several awesome autumn photos in this morning's decade in review. I think my favorite one is the autumn view of Lake Michigamme: it is beautifully framed with the colorful trees! I know that Mt Shasta is the Michigamme restaurant that is pictured today, but the restaurant that I will always think of in Michigamme is the Moose Cafe, (I think its name was). We used to love to stop there for a meal or a snack on the way up to Houghton to see our son at Da Tech and on the way back home. I was so sad to see that it was closed and up for sale in May, 2008. :-(
