Today's first two photos are from Judy Byykkonen and Lynn Virtanen, respectively. Judy's swing in the back yard, surrounded by the colorful leaves, sure looks like a very peaceful haven from the rat race of the everyday world. While Lynn's photo has such warm colors shining and reflecting in the calm waters, it raises the temperature in your mind, never mind that it's cold outside.

Did I say cold? Yes, that's what it's been here UP North...cold enough to snow just a few days back when Brenda Leigh snapped the last two shots, of her Autumn decorations covered in white. It was like we skipped over fall completely and went right into winter for a few days. Thankfully, it's let up now and the snow has melted for the most part, depending where you are. It truly has been that old adage you hear about the weather in the U.P....if you don't like it, just wait a few minutes, it'll change!

Wow, I have my desktop pic for the rest of the month. Thanks Brenda. The Jack O' Lantern with it's crop of snow hair is as entertaining as it gets...

All of these pictures are wonderful!! I'm thinking I'll change my background picture too, though mine is a beautiful fall picture from when we were there last weekend. I really like these. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the color!

Those swings look like a good place to sit back. The weather could be better in Brendas but I like the picture anyway with all the decorations.

Wow! Judy and Brenda have exactly the same swing. That must be a popular model. I wish I had one in my backyard. Well, first I wish I had a backyard. ;-) I love those swings.

Whoa! That swing looks just like my yard! But I was sure I hadn't submitted a picture of it. Funny. That 2nd picture is really neat.

Am I seeing things or is the second picture of those beeeeautiful trees sitting next to a cliff ledge? It might be the way the camera got it, but sure gives it depth and such beauty! Thank you for sharing so much of God's handiwork!

Judy,

I love your swing..ha ha. It certainly is pleasurable to sit in. Your photo is so unique in the sense that it just makes one feel at peace looking at it. It was a great idea to snap that shot. Who would think that just looking at a picture of a swing could offer so much.
Brenda
