I have a height thing too, Charlotte. Usually, even looking down from the second floor, I start getting vertigo, but the bridge didn't bother me at all. Part of it was probably the fact there were so many people. Everyone was in a great mood .. people in the buses were waving and cheering, there were people in costumes, people preaching, people thanking the National Guard guys for their service ... plus the fact we were walking over one of the longest bridges in the world..it was all good. didn't even think about height :) It was just a great feeling.
I'll try to put a couple of pictures up on todays what's up or in my gallery here.

David: if you didn't feel vertigo during the Bridge Walk, good 4 U. I didn't have it, unless I looked down through the steel grate on the inside lanes, so I simply walked on the pavement. While we're talking about the Bridge Walk, here's an article about it:
