Which year's picture has the least amount of blue and red?

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:25 am:

Good Morning!!

I would say 2006 since its a B&W photo, but one could also argue for 2001 as well.....

I would have to say 2006 since it's in black and white.

Good morning everybody!

Hey Capt! Nice to see you!!!!

By john mich (Johnofmi) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:42 am:

Yes 2006 is black and white but isn't white a combination of ALL the colors? I'd vote for '99 since it is the darkest.

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:43 am:

1999...how can there be color without light?
Or, is it a question of the tree falling in the woods and no one is there...does it make a sound?

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:44 am:

Thanks, Deb; I haven't posted in a while, have I?? It's been busy-busy here with the end of the State fiscal year on Monday. Luckily, I am now completely caught up on my projects so nothing is outstanding for the new year. And to top that, I have tomorrow off; what could be better???

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:45 am:

Will this question be on the final exam?

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 07:47 am:

Alex, didn't it look like a campfire of some kind of a little light?n Anyway, it looked red to me.

Have some fun, Capt.

I was staring to wonder if The Capt. & Doc were hiding out in the UP refusing to go back to Texas. I guess thats not the case. Glad you guys made it back OK!

By Dunerat (Dunerat) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 10:13 am:

We're on our way UP tomorrow at the end of the day! If all goes well we should be at Fort Wilkins by midafternoon on Saturday. Goin' out of my skull in the meantime.

A set of modest goals for the trip:

1) Go fly fishing for the first time in way too long.

2) Find a datolite nodule as big around as a garbage can lid (Capt. Paul will have to weigh in on the odds of pulling this off).

3)Surprise the kids with a day trip to Isle Royale (Thank you, Neil Harri, for the suggestion to do this). I'm very much looking forward to being in the 2007 photo in today's Decade Review.

That sounds like an awesome trip, Dunerat! I hope the weather cooperates and you all have a great time together!

I would say you have a better chance of winning the lotto or betting on the Lions to win the SuperBowl...... ever!! ;-)

Well we got our son Nate off to Grand Valley State University this week (couldn't get him to look at MTU or NMU he doesn't have the ties to the U.P. like me I guess), things sure are quiet around here, Im gonna hate cutting the grass again.lol

By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 02:51 pm:

You're making me hungry with the blueberries + breakfast on the go (lol). Like the lake scene, 2.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 - 04:38 pm:

Uncle Chuck: Though we have been empty nesters for four years
now, I sure can relate to what you are saying. Now our daughter
and son miss us when we drive off and leave them--which is
touching too, but that took a couple of years.

By Uncle Chuck at Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Friday, August 28, 2009 - 08:33 am:

Kosk, I think he's adjusting well, he seems to like it so far, don't think he's going to miss us, lol.
