2000, 2001, 2007 Porcupine Mountains all taken by Dan Urbanski is my guess.

The "same location" was near Dan Urbanski. The first two are clearly at the same geographical location as well, but - as Johnofmi points out below - we aren't sure if Dan took the lightning shot from the same vantage point.

They were taken in Union Bay.

Good morning! No early bird yet but I'm guessing it's not because Charlie hasn't gotten a correct answer. I'm pretty sure both Pat & Glenda & Helen are right with their guesses of 2000, 2001 and 2007 since Dan took them all. They were all awesome at any rate.

I'm wondering how Joyce got a picture of so many hummingbirds at a feeder at one time. Our fight each other off and we never have more than 2 at a time here without them getting angry with each other. To me, that's a very rare sight indeed. Great shot, Joyce.

I don't see how one can determine that the 2007 picture was taken in the Porkies unless that is the only place where Dan took pictures. For 2005 I just guessed that the humming bird feeder was located in Copper Harbor. I don't think today's question can be answered without some "inside" information.

Cam notes is july 4th?

Cam Notes is July 4th 2009 and I beleive July 16 or the 19th 2009. Mary must be enjoying a few days off. ;O)

It is me again. I clicked on the words 'cam notes' and got different dates. Then I clicked the picture to the left of cam notes and got it for today.

Yes, Mary is away for a few days (in Copper Harbor, as a matter of fact). But my normal editing this morning was interrupted by issues dealing with the current broadband stimulus grant application.

2 more days and I am off to the UP for a well deserved 2 week vacation!!! SO what has the weather been up there? We have been HOT and in the 90's for a week here.

He was bragging about being married ten years, where Precious said wait till you hit forty three and then brag. She is waiting till forty five years of marriage, wants to see if the marriage last.

I thought it was interesting that for a long time the top of the Mackinaw lighthouse was painted red. When we were up there a couple of weeks ago it was painted black. Anyone know why they changed the color? It looked much better in red.

was meaning to say the top of the lighthouse tower is red, not the top of the whole lighthouse.

Actually, Pennie, if you got the postcard we sent you, you'd have seen that it was actually painted white except for the very top of the tower. But now it's all black. But you're right in that it doesn't look nearly as good, though.
