Those blackberries look good enough to eat. I can't make it for the Labor Day weekend like I thought, but I think my hubby will go up right afterward. That's usually when the berries are good and ripe where he picks. Loved the picture of the Niagra AND the Mackinac light and bridge.

Good morning and have a great day.

The Mackinaw Lighthouse, reflecting falls, and blackberry pics are especially nice. Good job.

Calgon...take me there! My new neighbors have their music up so loud I can feel the bass in my apartment from across the hall. I don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate. I suppose they must feel special to think the world revolves around them. Sigh...I'm going to imagine instead that I hear the water cascading over Bond Falls or the waves gently lapping the shore of the shining big sea water Gitchee Gumee....take me there.

You have a "bass" in your apartment, Cindy?? Must be a pretty good sized aquarium you got there...... ;-)

Sorry that I couldn't get back to you sooner. Logan's surgery was successful but he has to wear a halo on his head for up to 8-12 weeks for the fusion to heal. Yesterday he was quite uncomfortable being the first day after surgery. But today is a lot brighter for all of us. Logan has stood up to go bathroom, sat in a chair, had a solid breakfast & lunch though it was just a little bit. We know he's on the road to recovery because he is asking to go to the 3rd floor to play all of the videos games they have there. LOL He'll be here for a few days yet, has therapy on Monday then it's working towards going home. Thank you for all of the thoughts & prayers for him. Will try to keep you updated later. There is a website called caringbridge.org that has his daily journal on it. Just type in loganmuljo when you go to the website.

Cheryl that is awesome! Makes me cry tears of joy for him and you and your family. Many more prayers coming your way.

Management must have called my neighbors or someone must have caught the "bass" because it has stopped. Halelujah!! Isn't that how you spell it or is it base? I never know...oh, well.

… the "bass" … Isn't that how you spell it or is it base?

You were right, Cindy, it most definitely is bass!

Cheryl Rozman (Cotton):
I sure was glad to hear of Logan's successful surgery. I would find that "halo" screwed into my skull pretty darn scary and intimidating, myself. It sure is great to see him smiling in spite of that "medieval torture device"! He sure is one courageous young man! I hope his recovery is at least as successful as the surgery.

We just spent 8 hours at the Woodward Dreamcruise, just got home. We had a great spot to park and put up our canapy and had our chairs. It was a great spot because we were at a traffic light. The cars stopped and gave me a chance to take some pictures. A guy on his motorcycle got hit. He was coming exiting from a hospital and started across Woodward to an island to make a left hand turn and a car got him. The person who hit him was not going fast at all. His motorcycle kept going and we saw him on the street without his helmet, rolling around holding his head. The ambulance got to him real fast and they took back to the same hospital he just came out of. Hope he is O.K.

We had fun. Then some friends of ours came by with their old vehicles. We might go back out later and just drive up and down Woodward.

'was coming exiting' from a hospital?? I must be tired, I thought I corrected that.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 04:54 pm:

LOL sorry Cindy, I couldn't resist...

Cheryl: That is awesome news about Logan. Of course he would be feeling it the day after surgery after the meds wear off, but if he is already eating solid food and begging to play video games just 2 days after surgery, then that is better than good news for a full recovery.

I'm jealous mickill, I wish I was at Woodward with my car cruising up and down the avenue tonight. We have a cruise night here every Saturday night. Unfortunately, that 100+ degree heat here puts a damper on any kind of fun...

I have this saying I go by, since GOD watches over children and fools and I am a little of both, I have it covered. Not to call Logan a fool, but I am assuming Logan is a child? He is going to have a good outcome if he wants to play video games. ;O)

It is hot here today but, we were under a canopy with a cooler of water and a light lunch to munch on. Lots of fruit and cashews. I LOVE the 55, 56 Chevys. The powder blue and white paintjob with the interior to match and lots of chrome. LOVE THEM. I have no idea how many pictures I took, lots.

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 05:20 pm:

Hey Capt. Why kind of car do you have?

By Fran in GA (Francesinga) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 09:01 pm:

Cheryl, thanks for the good news on Logan. How wonderful that he is doing so well. Kids are something else!! They can recover so quickly.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Saturday, August 15, 2009 - 09:55 pm:

I own a 68 Plymouth Roadrunner, perfect for cruising up and down Woodward tonight...

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Sunday, August 16, 2009 - 04:11 am:

That would have been perfect for cruising.
