Good morning! We were just at Esrey and it was so windy that it was scary up on the hill.

Hope Mary's having a good time at the Copper Harbor Marina.

If anybody watches Ice Road Truckers, Why are Alex and Hugh in Alaska? I missed the beginning. Lisa's an interesting character. You think she was set up just for the show? Thought she did a fantastic job backing down that hill, if in fact it was her doing the backing.

Rowdy...Lisa is in fact a real over the road truck driver from Alaska from what I have read. Her personal vehicle is a 4-wheel drive truck with a lift kit.

I'm sure Mary is rockin' and rollin' in Copper Harbour about now, Deb; happy belated B-Day btw!!

Yes, we made it back to Texas safe and sound last night, despite having to dodge a few nasty storms in Iowa and Missouri Sunday afternoon. The Keweenaw was wonderful, as always. Dinner at the Ambassador with Mary and Deb was a real hoot. And Deb, thanks for the recommendation; those were perhaps the best Nat and I have ever had..... ;-)

We also visited many mine sites for a documentation project I'm doing online and while at those sites I managed to collect many fun things and better correlate the individual lodes. I'm hoping to have a full-on travel report over in the geology thread soon describing the "finer points" of our trip....

We're back in purgatory after a couple of weeks in heaven. It was nice meeting other very nice pasty cammers (Deb, Mr. Deb, Mary and Mr. Mary) at the Ambassador. Hopefully we can meet again sometime!

Especially like the Roadside View + Au Train River pics.

Dr. Nat it is hot here also. But the air is really cool. Enjoying sitting in my office for a change. Enjoyed our lunch at Wendys.
