When you're young here in the Copper Country, it doesn't seem to matter if the water is cold or the air is chilly, it only matters if it's wet. Because when it comes to boys and water, you're always going to find them eventually in it. That's what Kim Beyer captured with the click of her shutter as the youngsters were first doing a bit of fishing while perched on a fallen tree. Then she snapped them as they headed into the water for some good old fashion water play. I'm not sure what exactly they were up to, but whatever it is, I'm betting they had fun!

That second picture sends chills up my spine...and not because of the water temperature. Long time ago I was of similar age doing almost the same thing (no water was involved) and got a 2 1/2 inch sliver in my hip right next to you know where. Painful memories.

It looks like a lot of fun, though. Kids couldn't care less if the water's cold. They don't even seem to notice. I know I didn't when I was a kid.

Ahhhh- now that is how I remember summers as a child- climbing out on logs....finding something to float on....using daring and imagination.... very nice pics
