Our eye in the sky, took to the ground to show us that he can snap good shots when he's standing still, too. When E. Neil Harri sent me these photos, he called them Keweenaw County horses. They don't look any different than other county's horses, but perhaps they have a better view. I'd say they're pretty lucky if they're able to see Lake Superior and the splendor that you can only view at the tip of the Keweenaw. View or no view, they seem to be content with their meal of daisies and grass. With all those daisies coloring that field nearly white, it makes you wonder if the field was planted with these little flowers or if they're just growing wild like that. Pretty sight!

Nothing so lovely and simple as a daisy! Grand way to start a busy day. Thank you.

Beautiful pictures today of sorrels, bays, and a dapple grey! I've owned just about every color and color combination under the horse rainbow for the past 48 years. A great way for my daughter and I to enjoy together. We own 10 currently! :)

FABULOUS pictures. I love horses!

Those daisies are likely Mother Nature's handiwork. Our fields were filled with daisies and no one planted them. I used to make daisy chains for head wreaths and belts and bracelets. And, of course, you had to use the daisy to determine if your true love loved you back.

That dappled gray looks like he (she?) blends right in with the daisies! Lovely pictures. Horses are some of the most beautiful creatures on earth.

As usual very nice pictures. The last one is awsome with the horse and dasies blending togeather. Also a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my aunt Barb Perkola from Kearsarge.

Very nice pictures! The horses do fit right in with the daisies. I do love daisies!

For anyone that's interested; The Weather Channel is doing live feeds from the Keweenaw Peninsula this evening. Earlier, they were using Quincy Mine as the backdrop and their reporter even took an underground tour of the mine.

I can't remember taking horse pictures before but I turned the car around when I saw these animals.
They really looked nice out in the pasture. They are at Riipa's stables on the Five Mile road behind Ahmeek.
I was surprised how much noise they make just eating grass.
