Rarely do people appear in our end-of-month memorial photos. Which year did that happen for the June 30 remembrance?

These "end of the month" photos cause us to realize that at a certain time in any human being's life. serenity becomes the most precious of conditions

Ahhh, the ever popular flamingos, lol.

Good morning! Another stunning group of pictures today.

A fitting title for the last scene could be "On Golden Pond", especially for those of us in our "golden" years. The last years of life can be good, enjoy it as much as possible!

The Pasty Cam was published a little late yesterday, due to widespread power outages in the Keweenaw Peninsula, so for those of you who didn't get to see this, here's a repeat. The photo below is of Central Mine and was taken back in May before the leaves came out. It is just a sampling of the 240 photos you'll find in E. Neil Harri's newest Aerial Tour, called: "Copper Mining History- An Historic Aerial Tour Of Keweenaw's Copper Ridge". This DVD Aerial photo tour runs from Rockland to the Keweenaw Point. All you mining buffs out there will want to add this to your collection and you can do so by heading over to Neil's webpage, with a click of your mouse RIGHT HERE!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 - 07:15 pm:

Beautiful pictures! To my way of thinking there's nothing more beautiful than the sun reflecting on water...be it a sunrise or sunset! I've seen many of both in Michigan when we lived there and/or vacationed there. Matter of fact when my husband and I see a pretty sunset anywhere, one of us usually says "there's a Michigan sky".:)

We have sent those flamingos around, haven't we Cheryl?
