Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Monday, June 22, 2009 - 06:06 am:

When Helen Chamberlain sent me the first two photos, she described them as "A most beautiful sea of forget-me-nots, that moved like waves when the wind blew them." She snapped photo one and two in Frenchtown Location, which is across from the #2 mining shaft on Quincy Hill.

The third photo was taken by Shawn Malone and gives us a great close-up view of these delicate little flowers. Shawn says she's now using a type of ultra hi resolution photography that can take something as small as these forget-me-nots in a photo and blow it up to a 4 foot by 5 foot piece of art. You can see her photography using this new technique at the Eagle Harbor Art Fair, on August 8th and 9th, 2009. Mark these dates on your calendar, there's something for everyone, so you don't want to miss it!

I do love these flowers and transplanted some from my yard in Aura to home in Genesee. They transplanted very well and have came up this year. Can't wait for my knee to heal in time for the Aura Jamboree July 17 & 18! Start making plans to be there everyone. And make yourself a friend on my Aura Jamboree page on Facebook!

Thats what my backyard looked like until my lawn mower started working. I had forget me not bouquets all over the house for a while there. This weekend it was lilacs. They are so pretty.

By Helen Marie Chamberlain (Helen) on Monday, June 22, 2009 - 09:12 am:

Mary, thank you SO much for showing my pictures, which was no easy feat considering they had to be taken off my MSNTV2 unit, which cannot send pics with the sizing you needed to do this so I know you had to put your talents to work on these and you did a super job! Shawn, thank you too, for your lovely close-up!
Hat's off to Pasty Net for all the hard work you all do to make your daily pictures available to people all over the country...I'm so proud to be able to send them out with my e-mails. Clap, clap!

Helen, these are awesome photographs! On viewing, one can feel the beauty and serenity you must have experienced even without hearing all the songs of nature.

Well, Bill and I are going to try our trip, again, to be in Calumet this weekend or before this weekend. I do not think Bill will be eating at that place in Marquette on our way up to Calumet. I can not wait to get to Calumet. ;O) I do miss being there.
