Paul Roberts took a picture of a friend taking a picture of Lake Superior's beautiful rocky shore near Lac La Belle. It sure was a cloudy, stormy looking day, but still inspiring to be near the Big Lake. You can always find something interesting, like Paul's friend did in those rocky layers where the waves are rolling in. Or the craggy branches of leftover stumps along the shoreline. Those are a few things that make up a great visit to Gitche Gumee.

Nice pictures! The stormy looking clouds are pretty neat upon Lake Superior, but I must admit I prefer sunny skies and the puffy white clouds when I visit Lake Superior.

Wish I was there; even in cloudy weather, it is the best place to be!

I'll take Superior any way I can get it. Even now, I'd have my shoes off and my toes in the water.

i took a panoramic pic of lake superior from the top of bumbletown hill and had it hanging on my livingroom wall when i lived in arizona. all my friends could not believe the size and beauty of "the big lake", asking if it were a sea or "is that the ocean?!" i guess no one can actually comprehend her size unless veiwed from the top of bumbletown hill or brockway.
i would like to say hi to my cousin dean schwartz and wife susie, can't wait to see you guys in aug.
