By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 06:12 pm:
It's happening, spring is really trying to arrive here in the Copper Country. Just look at the pictures E. Neil Harri had in his Guest Gallery Album. We're looking at Eagle Harbor, Neil's stomping grounds, with the first shot looking across the Harbor over to the Marina and the Old Coast Guard building there. That's one sturdy dock in the picture, to be able to withstand the freezing ice coming and going year after year. Neil's next shot has Kaisa posing on the same part of the Harbor, but further towards the Big Lake, so you can see where all that ice from the Harbor is headed... out to sea! The next photo is a mirror image of the trees and the building, with the water so calm and still. It almost looks like a quiet summer day, except for the remaining ice in the bay. Then Neil slides his camera lens over to the left so we can end with another reflection photo, this time of the Lighthouse and point. Yes sir, things are looking up when the water shines clear and smooth like this again! By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 07:07 pm: I like the mirror image on the calm water. All good photos. By Uncle Chuck @ Little Betsy (Unclechuck) on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 07:08 pm: Thanks for the Beautiful pictures. Marty and I are coming to see you Mary next month! Can't wait, can you handle a bear hug? lol By Donna (Donna) on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 08:07 pm: It's so gorgeous! And the sounds...The ice crackling, the birds singing! I saw my first robin today! By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Thursday, April 9, 2009 - 07:40 am: Neil..Kaisa is beautiful Britt! By Serena Sturm (Serena) on Thursday, April 9, 2009 - 07:49 am: Beautiful pics... I love your work Neil and my calendar! By E. Neil Harri (Ilmayksi) on Thursday, April 9, 2009 - 08:57 am: Thanks, Janie. Kaisa has her 5th birthday on the 10th. She gets me off my easy chair every night, all year long. She doesn't care what the weather is like either. She lets me eat supper and watch the news but then she will keep hounding me until I take her for a walk or snowshoe. She is my personal trainer. |
