Hi Everyone, back from Florida, on behalf of my family and myself, just wanted to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to you all for your prayers and well wishes! As well, a special thanks to Mary for her emails to us! We're going to miss dad (Grandpa Norm), found myself wanting to pick up the phone and call him last night, what a void, the trips to the U.P. will never be the same! Dad wasn't real computer savy, but he did have his home page set to pasty.com, he sure did love to look at the pictures of his home land and read all the messages. Marty, Mike, Charlie, Ben, Nate and myself will have to carry on the deer hunting tradition, it will be difficult though. Once again, Thank You for your support!
Kindest Regards,
UC
Mary says: I just spoke with Uncle Chuck and he asked me post this additional message from him: "Helsinki's booming."
In case you're wondering, that's how Grandpa Norm used to sign off on his letters or when you were departing from his company...it was his special way of letting friends and family know that "everything is grand."
I'm betting he's smiling down from above saying that very thing at this very moment! :->

Hey folks, I have a question for anyone/everyone. I'm coming back to the UP for vacation this summer (July). We are thinking about spending some of our time camping at Misery Bay. I've never stayed in the Toivola area. We want to do some fishing while we're up there, and I was wondering if the Misery River is a worthwhile place to walk inland and drop a line. If not, can you suggest some good fishing holes around the area where a person might find some good trout and/or some walleyes?

More fine pics, especially the one of Taquannamen Falls.

go to www.cnn.com and click on The 'Thumb' of Michigan and look at the picture. There is also a picture from winter carnival from Tech, too.
