Apparently my political comment yesterday got deleted, I have no idea why. By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 08:04 am: Happy Hump Day! Today up to the lower 30's for temps, tomorrow may nudge the 40 degree mark! Yabba Dabba Dooo! By FJL (Langoman) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 08:06 am: Maija: Looked like a personal attack. Read the " acceptable use policy." By Cindy Barga (Hoosiergirl) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 08:11 am:
My post was deleted too. So were others. I didn't find any of them offensive, inflamatory, or personal attacks. I guess we have to keep our ortimism to ourselves. By Cindy Barga (Hoosiergirl) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 08:12 am:
That should say optimism. By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 08:43 am: Look like the deer ran into someones camp? By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 12:56 pm:
Neither of my comments was a personal attack, or blatant bipartisan rhetoric. By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 01:06 pm: What happened to the Early Bird? By Steve in IL (Snomonut) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 02:04 pm:

How about a change of subject....weather,pasties, By Snowman (Snowman) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 03:20 pm:
Political post removed By Cindy Barga (Hoosiergirl) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 03:43 pm: check out the google add, free grants for republicans. That add should be deleted, it's partisan. By Snowman (Snowman) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 03:49 pm: I agree! Free money just for Republicans? A bit of discrimination there, don't you think? By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 04:13 pm:
I'm with changing the subject. I can't wait for spring and spring flowers! This has already been mid-Michigan's 16'th snowiest winter, as in total cumulative snowfall for the year, EVER (as measured at MBS airport), and there are a full two-plus months to add to that total! :-) The local meteorologists think, unless the weather patterns change, we should break the record, with ease, and then some! What a winter for a young boy to be stuck in a cast! By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 04:57 pm: One winter it snowed to the point I got tired of it. I had a big flower pot I painted. I took a bunch of plastic flowers and set them inside the flower pot and set it out on my patio table. Every time I opened the curtains a little bit, I would see the flowers. It worked til it snowed again then I took the plastic flowers out, shook the snow off them and stuck them back in the pot. It was alright.:O) By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 05:27 pm: I like that idea, mickill! :-) By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 07:11 pm: Mickill and Marianne, I'm ready for spring too, but I can't think about flowers 'cause all I can think about is all the grass that will need mowing, if it ever dries out, that is.:) But I'll take grass-cutting over snow and ice any day. maija, repost on 'politics' and maybe we can see By Thomas Baird (Thomas) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 09:01 pm: Just can't get enough of these great pics! By Helen in the U. P.! (Lahelo) on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 09:05 pm: By jbuck (Jbuck) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 05:54 am: Thanks Charlie - very much appreciate all your hard work in monitoring the page! By Charlie at Pasty Central (Chopper) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 06:30 am:
Thank you, Julie. Mary usually does all of the monitoring, and she is gone this week. My computer died on Tuesday, and when I finally got back on, my attempt to direct the politically-charged conversation to the appropriate page was met with some vigorous objection. What started as an innocent, positive remark had turned into a food fight. By maija in Commerce Township (Maija) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 07:09 am:
Thank you, Charlie! I felt so bad for not being able to post a positive, supportive comment about our new president on Inauguration Day. By jbuck (Jbuck) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 07:45 am:
Sorry to hear about your computer Charlie! By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 07:59 am: Thank you, Charlie is right! You and Mary have a very difficult job. I'm sorry I posted anything political on this page but assumed since others were doing it, it was okay because of the inauguration. I did go over to the political page and finish up there. Hope your computer is cooperating now. | |||
