Good Morning from Marquette.

My posting would have been a lot earlier, but I forgot part of my password. ;O)

We got about 7 to 8 inches of snow. Which is a drop in the bucket in the U.P.

How about a GYBOB Bird... a "Get Your Butt Out of Bed Bird"? (say that fast three times). My post is only about 1,800 seconds apart.

Good morning everybody! We're looking at a really cold week this coming week. My hubby is going to spend the week in the Copper Country, helping my mom out with things she needs help with. So even though it's supposed to be cold there, I think he's going to be lucky to be there.

Have a good day!

By Eugene Zuverink (Zube) on Sunday, January 11, 2009 - 09:54 am:

Deb you keep that cold weather in Minn. Don't let it come down here. Hope your hubby has a safe trip to DA UP. Lucky guy

More great pics. Speaking of cold, when I was stationed in Grand Forks County, N. Dakota in the late 1970's, I remember the first Winter there, and you'd have a sunny day with -15 degrees, and about -25 at night.

They are calling for highs in the minus single digits and lows in the minus twenties later this week.

Pretty weird to get a picture of a pileated woodpecker in a populated area!

By Nancy M. Rugani (Nanrugani) on Sunday, January 11, 2009 - 09:25 pm:

We are working on a Centennial Book for the Jeffers High School. In the 1920s, there were two Elementery Schools in Adams Township that we connot find photos or much information about, namely the Toivola School (also known as the "Station School" or "Lund's School") and the Michigan Smelter School (also known as the Cowles Creek School or Coles Creek School). If anyone has photos or information about these schools, we would appreciate hearing from you.
Frank and Nancy Rugani holeymolar@hotmail.com or nanrugani@hotmail.com Thank you.
