You will find this hard to believe; Relatives had a dog called Barney for about 15 yrs{ cocker spaniel I think} Barney used to wear a bell on his neck & always went behind the sofa to sleep. When he died & the kids had a funeral in the back yard, often they would hear the bell go thru again & behind the sofa. My daughter heard the bell come thru one evening and she would not lie.
