If you're not an early bird, you don't get to enjoy the beauty that the morning sun creates as it's coming up for the day. Like this icicle shot from Brita Haapala. You can see the sun already shining just out of the camera's focus on the pine trees, but the way the lineup of icicles catches those rays is something you don't always notice. Brita captured it for us all, just in case.
She also caught another off-set "sunshine" scene, with the glow warming the trees in the distance, making the rest of the picture take on a blue tinge. It gives you the impression that this spot is a few degrees cooler than where the sun is shining.
I guess those golden rays and how they affect our surroundings, is something we often take for granted, until someone like Brita makes us stop and take notice.

Brita's pictures are always so comfortable. If we look close, there must be kids in there somewhere.

Gorgeous pics today! I live in Florida, where this weekend temps were in the 70s, so Pasty Cam is the only taste of winter I get now. Thanks and have a great day!

Brita your photos are the BEST! GREAT SHOTS TODAY AND I TOO MISS THE CHILDREN... Maybe the children are behind that beautiful evergreen that is towering in the background. My favorite picture ever..is your Frost Art Photo..however there are many favorites.

I love that second picture. Took some pictures like that around Lake Linden about 10-12 years ago. I love how peaceful they look ;O)
