Most of the time when you're looking at photos in the Eagle Harbor area, they focus on the lighthouse, so Susan Harri decided we needed to see the other side of that harbor and snapped this evening view of the moon rising over the Marina. The white building directly under the moonglow, is part the old Coast Guard station that was located there years ago. Nice to see the "other side" and the beauty it contains, also. Thanks Susan!
Not to be outdone by his lovely wife, E. Neil Harri sent in a new winter photo of Eagle River, which is where our Webmaster, Charlie and HIS lovely wife Edie live. Too bad we didn't have this photo posted a couple weeks ago, as the Hoppers were on the road and might have enjoyed seeing a glimpse of their home. Check out the ice formations out in Lake Superior. Pretty amazing to see how they form like that and eventually make it to shore when the winds blow them in.
If you'd like to see more of winter in the Keweenaw then you're in luck, because Neil's newest DVD, Keweenaw Winter will be available any day now. Neil also told me that his Isle Royale Winter DVD will be ready in a couple weeks, also. Both of these new DVD's join the Marquette County Winter DVD and Neil's collection of Fall Tours, making an outstanding set of Keweenaw aerial views.
Be sure to check out Neil and Susan's website for the latest products that have been added.. There's something for everyone!

No matter which angle one views Eagle Harbor, it is one of the prettiest areas of the western U.P.!

I can just see the house we use to live in when we lived Eagle River in the 70's & 80's. I miss it there but like anyplace ya go back to I suppose it just wouldn't be the same. I think all the people we knew there have passed on now with the exception of one and she has moved away.

The Keweenaw is quite scenic even in the Winter, as the 2 pics show.

I just came back here to look at these gorgeous pictures, and I see that my post from yesterday never made it. I must have forgotten to post it once I typed it.
Anyway, those pictures are awesome. I wish I had Neil & Susan's view out my window. Are Neil's DVD's still at Copper World in Calumet also?
