Happy birthday girls. Manistee is having a snow day, the kids are happy my daughter is mad since she was going Christmas shopping. Have to go caroling with Andrea the Irish dancer. They need a van to drive them. Gonna be with a bunch of old people. Might get some good cookies out of it. Precious wont be there to police my actions.

I know what day it is.. It's the most glorious day of the year!! lol Thanks for the birthday wishes. And I hope YOU have a wonderful day tomorrow too Cindy! I'm working today but so far so good. Lots of phone calls and a surprise piece of Double Chocolate cake from the gentleman next door. Candles and all! The count down to Christmas begins today. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 Merry Christmas!!! And Tonight I am making my world famous Cupcake Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and green bean cassorole.

Happy Birthday, Theresa! I hope you have a wonderful birthday, kiddo! And, enjoy your warm weather!

(Our temperature is dropping every hour this morning, and it is supposed to continue throughout the day, coupled with wind gusts well over 40 mph. It's right smart chilly, as my mom used to say.)

This could be an "interesting" winter this year. Our school district here in Midland has used 3 snow days in December already. I have visions of our kids going to school in July, ugh!

Cindy, I hope you have a really Happy Birthday tomorrow, too! :-)

Do you share recipes? I would love to make a cupcake meatloaf dinner! Are there any special tips?

Well, the secret is to use a cup cake tin. You know either 6 or 12 spaces for cupcakes. I make my meatloaf recipe like I always do .. 1 pound ground beef, 1/3 of pork sausage, egg, saltine crakers, salt and pepper to taste. A small can of Hunts tomato sause with garlic and oregano herbs already in it, and mix well. I only use 4/5ths of the can of sause in the mix. When all is mixed well, I use my wooden spoon handle to make a deep well in the middle of the 'cupcake' meat and egg mixture and fill-up the void with the remaining tomato sause like it is a volcano. I top with a sprinkle of pepper and bake at 375 for 20 minutes. Watch carefully not to let the grease spill over the tin onto the oven while cooking, cause it will cook fast and smoke up the kitchen. Its a fast way to make dinner and it remains juicy and not dried out cause of the sause in the middle.
