In the 2004 photo, I noticed that there are several platforms that stick out on the left-hand side of the tracks. Are they there in case a train comes when someone is crossing over?

I really like the rushing water & leaves. That was my desktop for a while then I remember.

I for one loved the pic and thought it was great. I want to walk out there with Pete from Mud Lake some day!

And yes, it appears those platforms are for emergency safe haven on the bridge!
