I was with my granddaughter last night for a shopping trip, and on the way home we saw a sight similar to the one in the picture of 2000. She said, "Look grandma! God's coming down to take somebody to heaven!" I'd never heard that one before. She's 9.

For the 1998 photo I was holding a mirror in my left hand and the camera with my right. That way you can see the camera itself as the camera sees out the window. Standing in the dining room of our home in Eagle River.

Charlie, what a view from your dining room...we are all envious, I'm sure. Have a safe journey down state.

I clicked on the bridge cam and I saw the plane at the airport on the other picture. As much as I am scared to death of flying I will fly to Houghton....;0)

Speaking of the Bridge Cam, I see the Radar Base Cam at Mt Horace Greeley is showing some nice color today:

Sitting here at the computer eating a pasty is very messy, especially when you eat by hand, not on a plate..:o{
