Who took the photo of the Sphynx moth in 2001?

By Smfwlk (Trollperson) on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 - 07:16 am:

Dan Urbanski

Mary says: OOPS, our mistake. Actually the picture shown in the slideshow, ended up being Dan Urbanski's shot, not Dave Walli's like I originally thought it would be, so by default, both Trollperson and BJ are correct. It's a double "Early Bird" day!
You can check out Dave Walli's shot of the Sphynx Moth back in the Archives on August 27, 2001

It could have been Dan. I'm sure if he had been there, he would have snapped a photo as well.

The "Conglomerate Cafe", featured in the Pasty.net spotlight, has in it's menu section a picture of one of it's desserts, "Povitica". I remember so well my Mother and Aunt streching the dough over the kitchen table so it hung down the sides. Spreading the warm filling of honey, nuts and other ingredients then rolling it up into a long log,
fitting it into a large pan and baking it in a wood stove oven. How heavenly the smell, and then the taste. A definite stop this fall..........

FJL, you are making me hungry. My Mom made copies of Mumu's recipes for me since my daughter loves Nisua and I guess hers was good.

That first shot coming down the Calumet hill was one I wanted the other day, the sun was shining and there was fog over the lake.

Does Dave Walli still make copper art pieces? If so, where is his present business located?(A Finnish-American internet friend in Ohio has some of his pieces.) Kiitos.
