A fast start to the Pasty Cam this morning: two early birds and a woodchuck in the first minute!

I love the photo of Bare Bluff. That was my first hike in the UP several years ago thanks to Pasty Cam, who provided information on the bluff several years ago.

It's a great hike through the woods, mostly uphill and then all of a sudden you walk out on the bluff and see all the way to the tip of the Keweenaw and beautiful Lake Superior…what a view!

Slide show works fabulously for me. I think it's the best thing that pasty has done in a long time. I so enjoy it every morning! Still hoping for a CD of all of them. We could look at them over and over.

The veiw from Bare Bluff is now my background on my computer. Much better than the view of the parking lot out my window here at work. :-( But, hey, it's Friday! Only 7 hours of work to go! :-)

Anyone else want to ride that tram?

Bare Bluff is a great view! We hiked up the trail from behind a couple of years ago. We then followed the trail down around the front. I want to caution people not to take the front trail. It is extremely steep with slippery rocks and there is pretty much no going back once you have started down. I feel like I nearly lost my life several times on the way down and I have done a lot of hiking or the past 25 years. The trail markers on the way down are difficult to follow also. My recommendation is if you go up make your return trip down the back side.

Marsha - yes, I have a pair of crows that are feeding a fledgling, and they seem to think my feeders are an easy source of grub. Now I know where the seed on the deck is going!

Bare Bluff is great to see from the water too! (unless Norma's drivin the boat-lol)
