Looks like Ray Laakaniemi spotted some music loving fawns near Iron River recently. They're hanging around the grounds of The Iron County Historical Museum which has preserved the former home of Carrie Jacobs Bond, composer. One of their famous residents, Carrie was the first American woman to succeed in a career writing popular songs. Probably her best known song is "I Love You Truly. She eventually earned over $1 million in royalties, which was also a first for a woman. These two unlikely museum visitors must be waiting around for a concert featuring her songs. :-> Actually, Ray said these "deer little ones" stayed around long enough for him to go back to his car, get his camera and come back to take their portrait. Patient young things!
