Where do the days go? It seems these end of the month memorial pages are here before you know it. Continuing our tradition of keeping folks who have passed on in our thoughts as the month draws to a close, we remember:

It is significant to note this month that of the Coalition Force members listed here fatally wounded were 30 in Afganistan, 13 in Iraq, and the remaining men and women in other locations. An additional casualty - Sgt. James A. McHale - was reported late today.

I remember my mom, Kathleen Hill, who would have been 84 years old today. I feel that she is watching over her two week old great-grandaughter, Sophie Kathleen, who carries her name. We miss you, Mom.

Beautiful picture. Remembering my son Ryan's very good friend, Brett Thompson, who died this month at the age of 21 in a car accident on his way to work. He is missed by so many. He was a great kid!

We're remembering our mom, Marie Goulette, who would have been 99 years today. She left us to join her beloved Eddie in 2003, but we think of her every day.

More Doggie Angels for Mom and Dad. On July 2 our beautiful girl, Miss Monroe Lahti, received her wings to be with Mom and Dad and other loved ones. She's a beautiful white Afghan Hound and was always a beautiful Angel here on earth. We still feel her with us; she whispers in the wind. On July 1, Shelby Maki, a beautiful Sheltie, received her wings. Mom would have said that Shelby has "Angels in her eyes". Now she also has her Angel wings and has made Heaven an even more beautiful place. We all miss and love you so very much, Miss Monroe Lahti and Shelby Maki. We're looking forward to meeting you at Rainbow Bridge.
