Good morning! Great pictures today. I especially liked the ones in Ontonagon and Pictured Rocks.

That Ontonagon picture is now my wallpaper. Great shot! Next week it will be the photo over Picture Rocks. What a great state we live in! Eat your heart out everyone else!!

Every picture is one more place I need to see, if only I had the time and the gas money.

If anyone has any suggestions my daughter is bringing her 8 year old Dachsund with her to visit me up here for the summer and the dog has a bad back and arrhythmia. Any suggestions on activities for a geriatric dog and a good vet?
She wants to get the lazy dog in shape but it sounds like all she can hope for is fresh air, think the dog will be in a wagon.

Brooke, My daughter has a 4yr. old Dachshund. He has a slipped disc in his back, from jumping up to catch a ball. Back injuries are a common problem with this breed. He did not need surgery but he must not jump up and down from furniture. The best form of exercise to keep his weight maintained and his back in good shape is just a good old walk on a leash. He only needs a mile long walk everyday or every other day. Let him get plenty of that fresh Lake Superior air and he will become a new dog! Works for me as well!

Brooke, nothing wrong with a wagon and or pillow, remember, they are part of the family and just want to be included in the daily activities, take her along, she'll love it, afterall, she's family!!!!

Where in Ontonagon is the restaurant with the long porch view of the waterway and they serve Trout? on a plank. Plus they have those big carrot slices for an appetizer?
