Our Day in History notes that today was actually the opening of Crestview Resort back in 1909, the topic of last Sinday's Pasty Cameo, in case you missed it.

How does morning happen?? Well, as the earth rotates on its axis, it allows the sun to....... lol, I couldn't resist!!!

Good Thursday morning everyone; the weekend is in clear sight. Did anyone have the opportunity to witness the solstice moon last night??

By Cindy Pihlaja Russell (Gone2long) on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 10:20 am:

Ha! Ha! Capn Paul! Whew! Now I know at least.

I looked out at moon rise time and didn't see anything, but that's because I'm in town. I looked out again around 10:00 and it was a bit bigger than usual, but nothing remarkable...just it's normal bewitching beauty.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 10:29 am:

We had a Pink Floyd moon here last night, Obscured by Clouds.

By Brooke (Lovethekeweenaw) on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 12:41 pm:

I never looked at the moon, caught a summer cold (using that term loosely obviously) and by the time the Nyquil did its thing I'm surprised I made it to bed and didn't spend the night on the couch. It was such a nice evening too.

By Helen in the U. P.! (Lahelo) on Thursday, June 19, 2008 - 01:35 pm:

The moon was so beautiful last night. Great to be camping under the stars and moon! (Wishing I was.)
Finally has warmed up a tad bit.
