Good Morning!

AS I STOOD ON THE CORNER OF 5TH & PINE
I HEARD THE WIND PURRING WITH THE FLAG SO FINE
IT BROUGHT BACK MEMMORIES OF YEARS AGO
HAPPY CHILDREN AT SCHOOL & PLAY.
MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE, I PLEDGE ALLEGEANCE
AND THIS I PRAY ;THAT THIS COUNTRY
WILL MOVE ON TO BE BETTER EACH DAY.

We're having an interesting day here on the river. We've been told to park our vehicles away from our building now. The business next door and the local food pantry have been moving out due to the high water in their basement. Not sure what's going to happen in our art basement. Owner is very experienced with the situation and I hope he's correct that we're going to be okay. We'll see. Beautiful day otherwise except for the rising waters here in NW Illinois.

An Ode To Old Glory

Hang your flags out and be proud,
Play the anthem and play it loud.
This is the land of the free that we know,
So put up Old Glory and let the pride show.
