As we enjoy this beautiful Sunday afternoon please keep our good friend Mary Drew and her nephew Kevin in our thoughts. Kevin is again struggling with cancer. In case you missed yesterday's What's Up here is Mary's plea for our prayers.
"My 32 year old nephew Kevin, the one that had the bone marrow transplant a year ago, is in critical condition in ICU with a ventilator helping him breathe right now, along with oxygen too. It's a 50/50 chance he can pull through, as he now has pneumonia along with the Leukemia being back as strong and aggressive as ever. He just completed an intensive high dose chemo several days ago, so hopefully that will put the Leukemia in remission and then they'll proceed with another bone marrow transplant, provided they can find another matching donor for him. We need a miracle....please keep him in your prayers...thank you."

Mary, my prayers are with Kevin and your whole family.
What a beautiful weekend it has been to start my life as a retiree. I'm still having a hard time believing I am really retired. When school starts in August I'm sure it will really hit me.
