A couple of my favorites in today's Decade in Review: First, the clouds over the Cliffs - a shot that Jonathan took with the old Sony Mavica that was about as good as it could get with that old low resolution camera, the first "Pasty Cam". Then there was the Lake Linden sunrise a few years later, by Mary Drew BEFORE she became the weekday hostess of the Pasty Cam. That shot from 2002 also is the opening scene on this morning's Day in History:

Those look like a lot of clouds over the hills, to me. Hope it doesn't mean storms a brewing.

Good morning!

I know my very dear friend Pennie doesn't celebrate birthdays, but I would still like to wish her a very happy day today. It's the anniversary of the day she was born. Hope you have a great one, Pennie (Ploveabby).

Charlie, your "Day in History" link above takes me to Keweenaw Video's home page (not that I mind going there; they have cool stuff!).

Martha - Thanks for noticing the link problem. It's fixed now.

Martha, nice to hear from you. Are you new to this pasty site? Thanks for entering a little info on your profile. I so enjoy seeing about our fellow UPPERs. Wish more would tell us at least a little about themselves, so interesting.

Such a nice day today, and Martha is from my hometown! Where I lived during the school year when not UP with my Grandparents during the summer. Pinckney is a nice area.

The slide show was spectacular to be sure. And you're definitely right about those 2 pictures.

Thanks Momma Deb!:)

Thanks, MsKatie, but I'm not new. I've been a daily visitor since about 2002, but I don't post as often now as I used to. And, Brooke, right now Pinckney is at its prettiest. Lilacs in full bloom, as are the trees. Driving past Stinchfield Woods yesterday was like looking at a paint store color palette for green, every shade you can imagine.
