Good morning! Hey, Mary's hubby has a picture in the slide show. Cool. You could sure recognize the old carnival grounds with the junk piled up outside of Lake Linden. Loved it all!

I remember the carnival, Skerbeck Shows I think. Those were good times back in the day. Go to the carnival then head to the Lakes Drive-In for some more fun. My Uncle owned the Lakes at one time. Many moons ago!!! LOL

Good Friday Morning to All! I don't want to go to work today!

I'm with Janie...I say we all get in our cars and meet at the Hut for pasties tonight.

The target date for the Hut Grand Re-opening is Friday, May 30.

OK, so we'll be early. I'm sure I could find something fun to do back home for a couple, er, triple, of weeks.

Like Cindy said, we'll be early and test things to make sure the re-opening day will be perfect!! I am so ashamed, but I have never ate a pasty.

Janie! I can't believe that you've never had a pasty. I'm driving over right now and we'll make some. Or better yet, get your order in with Pasty Central right away. Your taste buds will thank you...and have some ketchup ready to with it.

Janie must get some. We had Pasties at our office meeting last week and they were good.

My husband has had them, and loves them, but when we were U.P where he tried them, I was dieting. I have since learned that the dieting thing on vacations is Un-American!

Does anyone remember that old couple at the carnival that sold french fries and you could put vinegar on them? They were so good.

LAURIE B. I believe that they were called Clinton's French Fries; I remember them well, the fries were always kind of soggy but delicious. They were served in a cone-shaped paper cup with vinegar.
