Good afternoon everybody. the slide shows sure are nice. I might have to upgrade my internet connection - with just a 56K-modem, loading takes too much time.
Speaking of internet, Comcast seems to have decided that I'm spam and returns my e-mails. I hope this is read by the person concerned, and you can look into it - my attempts at fixing the problem have been unsuccessful.

Great slide show today. It never fails to amaze me how much a part the presence of water plays into the lure of the U.P. Growing up it always inspired me to write poetry and try to capture it in photographs. The pure natural beauty still brings me to the brink of tears - a look at what the hand of God has made for us. I've never lived more than 15-20 miles from one of the Great Lakes and I don't think I could emotionally survive without having that access.

Interesting Day In History today, Charlie. Such a sad episode, the Cedarville's demise, in Great Lake history. BTW, the lighthouse at the end looks very much like the one at Charlevoix...is it, or is there one similar to it in the UP?

Speedway just shoved it up to 3.89 in the Grand Rapids area,They are the ones to set the price and every one else follows. why why why?

We need to hug a few more trees. Maybe squeeze some ethanol out of them?

just sold my vehicle, transport by bicycle only now.

Jeff, I just bought a trike. It has a huge basket in the back and three speed. I will be parking the car for the summer, or at least I hope to. My balance is so bad that I need to have something with more then two wheels to use. Couldn't find training wheels for my bike.

It's Mikie's birthday tomorrow.

My birthday is on Mothers Day. My mom said it was mothers day in 1943 even though May 11 was on a Tuesday. Thanks for the anticipated greetings.
