Gina Lopez has captured a sight that I don't think many folks have ever seen. Chickadees enjoying a pasty dinner. Now that's a true bird lover, when you even order U.P. Pasties from Pasty Central for your feathered friends to feast on. Truthfully, I don't know if they were really ordered from us here, but what a great idea that is. Make sure you get your order in to feed your hungry visitors too. :->
Most birds here UP North, don't get fed gourmet meals, but rather the typical birding fare, shown here by Greta Jones. Not that she doesn't feed her birds as well, just that they enjoy the usual suet cakes and seeds when they land on her feeders. These Downy (on the right) and Hairy (on the left) woodpeckers don't seem to mind at all though.

No no Mary, you don't understand. Those pasties on the ground are from the competitor and after Gina tasted a real Pasty.com pasty, she tossed the other ones out to the birds.

I can almost hear that chickadee saying "cheap, cheap, cheap"......... ;-)

Those can't be Pasty Central Pasties, they must be from a competitor. Otherwise, they would not be in the backyard, they would be at the kitchen table.

Inquiring minds want to know -

When Chopper mentioned yesterday that the breakfast pasties were back, he didn't say if the hash browns were the secret HUT BROWNS recipe, or not.

Those birds are gourmet dining compared to the crow that flew over my house yesterday clutching onto a McDonald's bag in it's beak!

We used to have a bird feeder just like that and we also had to bungie the roof to prevent the squirrels from "raising the roof". I know they have to eat, too, but they can empty a feeder in record time.

We will have birds soon, my son made a birdhouse in cubscouts. Need to get some seed! Good to know birds like pasties though.

I found these pelicans sitting on a bridge in Miami on Monday wishing that they had some breakfast pasties to eat too. They were pretty jealous of the chickadees. my picture

I read in the paper that the Mackinac Bridge fees are rising!

Ooops! Wrong page! My bad! To late now.

If I would have tuned in sooner, I would have the Chickadee on my screensaver--they are truely my favorites.
