Happy Birthday Jim! Hope you had fun snowshoeing on your special day.

That's a cool picture, Jim. I'm not sure if it's eerie (think Pet Sematary) or medieval. I can imagine a castle just around the corner inhabited by the seven dwarves or something. I don't know where I'm getting these crazy hallucinations! Anyone else thinking like me today? Probably not!

First impression was a grasshopper's leg. Or maybe the trees are weighted down with heavy snow and are bracing themselves. (I swear all I've had so far today is coffee :>) )

OOPS, I meant Marsha was hallucinating, Sorry Marianne.

What is that strange think above the water? I would say it is the sky except it is blue, not grey. I don't think I remember skies that color. Maybe I'm the one hallucinating.

It's been a long long winter already, and two more months to go before the snowpack melts into spring.

Jim's pic kind of reminds me of the maze in "The Shining".

I'm with you, Marsha, I see a snow-blotched stone wall leading to a great castle inhabited by, maybe, the prince who found Cinderella's glass slipper....and now, maybe, Cinderella is living there, away from her ugly stepmother and stepsisters. :) Beautiful photo, Jim! Thanks for giving us something to make up stories about.
