There has been a time or two I had to make it to the Church on time. I love to go to Cades Cove to see all the old Church's. My son was married in one there.

Theresa, it is very difficult to see your children go thru hard times. Lord knows, we had our share of worries over ours. Things turned out fine after some time. When one door closes another one will open.

There are tracks on the canal this morning, I assume from snow mobiles. I have a question: Is is really safe to zip around on snow mobiles so close to the bridge where we see the salt often melt the water there?

euqenia: It is absolutely NOT safe. Just a couple of days ago a snowmobile had to be fished out of the lake near the bridge. You are right about the salt but in addition to that the canal is relatively narrow in the vicinity of the bridge; this causes an increase in the current which can make the ice thinner in that area.

That is insane Dave. Them snowmobilers don't care if someone goes through I swear, and if one goes through they'll cross anyways. The canal isn't even close to being safe for them to ride across anywheres close to the bridge, only if your looking to die or go for a swim I guess then would one do it lol

FYI I cross the bridge daily to classes at Finlandia so yes I see these tracks...not my cup of tea.

I think I neglected to wish Kosk a Happy Birthday, to the point it is almost time to wish you a Happy Belated Birtday. Happy, Happy Kosk! Sorry.

Oops, I guess I already did, after all, Kosk, so you should have had an extra Happy day. And, I even spelled it right the first time. I guess I'm falling asleep, after fixing a software problem on one of our other computers.

Thanks, Dave and Danielle. I just wondered if there was something I didn't know or what. It would seem to be a foolhardy thing to do, but then there are plenty of people that fit that description, and it's not hard to imagine that some of them are snow mobilers.
